The MOLECULAR RESEARCH INSTITUTE (MRI) is a California non-profit corporation that was established in 1979 by Dr. Gilda Loew. After Dr. Loew's passing in January 2001, the remaining members of the Institute began the process of reinventing MRI under a new model, one that would honor our founder's spirit of independence and perseverance and her dedication to responsible, interdisciplinary science.
We've found that we're excited about the prospect of working for ourselves and for each other. We think that other molecular scientists will be excited about it, too, especially those who are in the earlier stages of their careers and are eager to establish themselves as independent investigators.
These are the unique features of MRI:
We are fortunate to have a Board of Directors who have worked closely with us during this period of transition.
MRI is located in Mountain View, California. See our contact page for the address.
